The way to reach us is the form on this page. Tell us how many weeks you have, when, and who is travelling; we reply by email to the address you give, with questions first and a route second.

Use the form

The form below is the only way to reach us from this site. It goes straight to the people who plan the journeys, and the reply comes by email to the address you type in, so check it carefully. If you do not see a reply, look in your spam folder before sending again.

Five fields are open from the start: what kind of trip, your name, your email, when you plan to travel, and how many are travelling. The rest sit under 'more' and are optional.

What helps us answer well

  • How many weeks you have, and whether that includes your international flights.
  • The month, even if dates are open. The seasons change the route more than anything else.
  • Who is travelling — ages of children, anyone who finds ladders, steps or heat difficult.
  • The leg or place that made you look — the night train, the slow boat, Angkor, the islands.
  • What you have already seen in the region, so we do not plan it again.
  • A budget per person per day, land only, if you are comfortable saying; it helps us pitch hotel levels.

You do not need a route. A sentence like 'four weeks in February, two of us, we like trains and hate early starts' is plenty to begin.

What happens after you send it

  1. We read it and reply by email with questions — usually about pace, trains and budget.
  2. Once we have the answers, we send a leg-by-leg outline: each movement with mode, approximate time and comfort, and the nights at each stop.
  3. When the outline fits, we send a quote with every hotel named and every leg priced by class.
  4. Only when you are happy with all of it do we talk about booking — see how to book.

Nothing is booked and nothing is paid until you confirm, under the booking terms and the payment page.

Before you write

Some questions are answered faster by the site than by email:

A note on safety

We never ask for card or bank details by email or in this form. Payment instructions come only as set out on the payment page of this site. If you receive a message claiming to be from us asking you to pay to a new account, do not pay; reply to our last email and ask.

Your form goes to us and is handled as the privacy policy describes. We use it to answer you and plan your trip, and for nothing else.

Common questions

Questions travellers ask most

Can I phone you?

Not from this site at the moment. Send the form; we reply by email, and once you book you get a named contact for the trip.

How quickly do you reply?

As soon as we can give a useful answer. Trips with several borders take longer to look at properly.

Can I send a route I have drawn myself?

Yes. Paste it into the notes field. We will say which legs work as written and which we would change.

Tell us about the long trip you have in mind

Weeks available, month and party size are enough to start. You get questions first, then a leg-by-leg outline, not a brochure.

Add more detail optional — the more you tell us, the closer the first draft lands
